So this V12 stallion appeared across the street from my house today. A visage of ungodly depreciation.
I love those wheels.

E arly car too, I think those were 00-02 only. I too love those wheels.
These are difficult cars to keep on the road - someone is devoted.

Strange. My neighbor’s has a V12 Biturbo badge on the back. Did they make an NA V12?

Yep, 00-02 were NA, the M137 engine.

They did—the M137 was naturally aspirated.

I live in St. Louis City—there is a strong possibility it was sold at a “ buy here finance here” lot on Gravois Avenue and the owner abandoned it here. I’ll have an update.

If it’s abandoned, steal the wheels. I suspect they have a little value.
It could also make a nice piece of yard art. Not the most useful as a car though, things seem to go awry a lot. I know an indy mechanic who refuses to touch these models - he’s had two abandoned by prior owners. He’s of the “I wouldn’t take one for free” opinion.

That era Mercedes often looks dated and cheap but this one looks every bit of $7 0,000

I’ve only ever seen those wheels on stanced VWs.

Can you imagine a Harlequin CL 600?

I’d drive that

It’s got the facelift taillights, but you’re point about running expenses stands, someone clearly wants that car on the road.
